It was supposed to be Ambuklao trip only, but something happened that I and the rest of the blogger participants have to thrill ourselves walking on a hanging bridge.

I told everyone that the road to Ambuklao is one of the dizziest paths ever. I feel as if I was going to vomit. And there was this “unstable mountain slope” that if unluckily it rained that time, we won’t be able to make it to our homes. If you are planning a road trip to Ambuklao, make sure it is NOT raining or it won’t rain on that day (if you can forecast the weather then better). Fortunately our driver was good enough to follow the road, but not good enough to maintain the wheels. One of the wheels was compressed.

We were already on the first bridge of the three bridges to Ambuklao when that happened. And thus we took this opportunity to take oh well the undying planking pictures on the road (and yep that “Superman” levitation pic ^^). And from afar, we saw a hanging bridge, an old rusting hanging bridge that I thought it’s going to fall off when I walked on it.

The last time I walked on a hanging bridge was way back in 2011, inside Tree Top Adventure Subic. But that’s a different story because I was sure enough that the hanging bridges inside the attraction were all working and still safe. The one in Bokod, Benguet, I cannot tell if it’s still safe, but somehow it is stable. And it’s really a different experience to walk on a suspension bridge when there is a running river underneath. It’s nauseating.

And when the SUV was already repaired, we eventually headed to the spillway of Ambuklao Dam. The dam was amazing. And I already posted it on my previous article “Ambuklao Dam: A Benguet Travel Story”.

We did not spend much time in Ambuklao. We just took some photos of it. We ate our merienda courtesy of Azalea Residences Baguio. Hmmm. And the rest we went home from our Ambuklao trip where whe had a bunch of memories to keep. And for me, another time spent with the rest of Pinoy Travel Bloggers (PTB) Bagets.
