2. Drive through Ambuklao Road until you reach the bridge that separates the way to either Bokod or Ambuklao. You can head straight to “Ambuklao”. The road will loop to the Ambuklao spillway.
*You can also go to “Bokod” and you will pass the Ambuklao View Deck where there is a good view of the dam. To go to the spillway, your marker is the waiting shed before a very sharp curve, drive down the road and head to the spillway.
**Travel time from Baguio to Ambuklao Dam is approximately 1.5 hours.
Via Commute
For adventurers who want to visit Ambuklao Dam via commute, in Baguio City, go to Dangwa Terminal. Dangwa Terminal is at the back of Baguio Center Mall along Magsaysay Road.
*You can walk the way to the back of Baguio Center Mall when you are at the foot of lower Session Road (marker is the Maharlika Livelihood Complex).
When you are already at the back of BCM, look for the van that is bound to either Solano or Bayombong in Nueva Vizcaya. Facing LizardoTrans terminal, the van terminal is in your right side.
Tell the driver to drop you off to waiting shed near the Ambuklao spillway. Or just simply tell him “spillway”. Regular short trip fare of P100. Travel time: 1-1.5 hours.
*You can opt for bus for P60 but it takes 2 hours to take you there.
On going back, just wait for either bus or van when you are in the waiting shed. Vehicles driving Ambuklao Road are very rare so expect to wait for an hour or two if you are not lucky to catch any of them. Fare of van to Baguio from Ambuklao is now only P50. Bus is P60.
