Part 10 of The Pangasinan Escapade

After that unforgettable escape to Bolinao, it’s time to be back to Baguio again. It’s been already past five in the evening when we were waiting in the shed. Buses bound to both Pasay and Dagupan are scarce. We waited for an hour for a bus heading to Dagupan but nothing passed by. So we decided to ride in a Five Star bus heading to Pasay when it came passing by. We went to Alaminos again instead and hunt for a bus bound to Dagupan. By the way, the bus ride from Bgy. Samang Norte to Alaminos City Proper is almost an hour for a student fare of P24. Luckily after waiting at the Five Star terminal in Alaminos, an ordinary Victory Liner bound to Dagupan dropped by to pick us up. Student fare to Dagupan is P52.

We arrived in Dagupan at around 9:15 PM and we ate our dinner at Zola. After our dinner we went to the bus terminal and looked for a bus bound to Baguio. Unluckily, the last bus bound to Baguio has already left so we went to Pines Garage to hire a van. We paid P200 each for the fare. Regular fare should only be P115 but we had not caught up the last trip (we arrived at Pines Garage at around 10:30 and the last trip was 10 PM).

We arrived in Baguio past twelve midnight. The adventure was over but the memories we had during the trip is unforgettable. By the way here is a table of expenses we had during our trip:

INDIVIDUAL EXPENSES

Taxi Fare to Gov. Pack Rd.
60.00

60.00
TOTAL
1,676.00

The total amount of money spent was exclusive of food that we bought during the trip and souvenirs. All in all, the total expense was approximately P2,000.

A simple prayer to Our Lady of Manaoag, one-day island hopping, tour and snorkeling, grilling milk fish, sea walking to horizon, building a golden sand castle, swimming in a golden beach, visiting a lighthouse, going down a cave, sighting water splashing to a rock formation, trekking a forest, driving the outskirts and listening to water plunging from the falls to a stream will surely never be a worth below P2,000—that is because memories marked by this getaway is priceless. So why would you hesitate to spend P2,000 for priceless moments?
