Part 6 of Camiling-Clark-Subic Getaway

As I have said in the earlier post (Clark Zoos & Gravity Go Karts), Paradise Ranch is about a mile away from Zoocobia Fun Zoo. So there we went, wearing some cozy sun glasses, under the scorching heat of the sun at nearing noon time. Paradise Ranch is a wide ranch, or must I say, very wide ranch. Paradise Ranch is more of a zoo complex, with a butterfly house, a pond, swimming pool and a mini Baguio among others. Before entering the complex, you will be given a map of the ranch. From here, you can now actually start to where you’d like to see first.

Paradise Ranch is situated on a higher part of a mountain in Clark. Once you are there, in a certain part, you will get to see the whole picture of Clark. There are also villas where you can stay. We also saw the villa where some scenes of Mari Mar was shot (we didn’t plan to go to every shooting location of Marian Rivera :] ). To those who watched that hit series, Clark was chosen to be the location for the scenes in lieu of Tagaytay.

On a part, Paradise Ranch has a pond with some floating cottages. We took the chance to go inside the floating cottage, go into the middle of the pond, and feed the fish underwater (P10 per small bag of pellets). It’s also fun but feeding birds is more fun. ^^,

Donkey, donkey are you lazy?

As you walk farther (and I hope you still have enough energy to do this), you will be able to witness some pine trees (planted by the caretakers) to mimic Baguio City. Along the path to little Baguio, you will get to see some shrubs planted by celebrities (we saw a bush planted by no other than Dingdong Dantes).

At a farther place there was a wishing well and a high cross (I don’t know if that one replicates the Shrine of Valor in Mt. Samat, Bataan). And walk somewhere adjacent, you will see a butterfly house (for free). And you walk until you get tired, there was a mini zoo. This I am lucky to capture a photo of a peacock with its tail widespread. It’s so stunning! I got the chance to take a picture of that one, knowing that it only take a few minutes or seconds before it goes back again to hide its beautiful feathers. And for your info, to distinguish a peacock from peahen is simple. Peacocks are attractive, and peahens are the opposite!

Lastly, we went to a manmade cave (with nothing so much to see). After that, we already ended the tour. But before we went to Clark Main Gate, we told the driver to drop by the park where old planes and helicopters were there.

Underneath these animalistic impeachment trial (haha no, they’re just statues) lies a swimming pool, but we didn’t get inside because another fee must be paid.

We arrived at the Clark Main Gate after a few minutes, hired a tricycle to bring us to Dau Terminal (P50) and eventually rode in a bus bound to Olongapo.
